Adjusting method

Required tools
  • Double-ended wrench (17mm / for tightening bolts)
  • Double-ended wrench (13mm / for fixing nuts and hexagon bolts)
  • Gap gauge
1
Insert the blade holder into the spindle.

Align the groove of blade holder with the roll pin of the spindle and push it firmly to the end.

NOTE

If the blade tightening bolt, which secures the blade holder to the spindle, is over tightened, the blade holder may not be able to insert all the way in when it hits the spindle.

2
Loosen the fixing nut.

Loosen the fixing nuts with a double-end wrench (13mm).
The blade is unlocked and the gap between the mouthpiece and the blade can be adjusted.

3
Adjust the gap.

Turn the hexagonal bolt to adjust the gap between the mouthpiece and the blade.

Adjust to 1.0mm.

Hexagonal bolt goes clockwise: the gap widens.
Hexagonal bolt goes counterclockwise: the gap narrows.

4
Check the gap.

Insert a gap gauge (standard accessory) between the mouthpiece and the blade to check the gap size.
Make the gap big enough for a 1.0 mm gauge to pass through.

5
Tighten the fixing nut.
  • Tighten the fixing nut with a double-end wrench (13 mm).
  • Make sure that the fixing nut is firmly tightened.
6
Tighten the blade tightening bolt.
  • Tighten the blade tightening bolt on the blade holder with a double-end wrench (17 mm). Make sure to tighten it firmly.
7
Check if the gap between the mouthpiece and the blade is correct.

Turn the blade holder by hand to make sure that the mouthpiece and blade do not touch and the gap size is correct.
